Thinking Math

I’ve been thinking ‘bout this math situation –
Problem-solving and everything else.
I’ve come to a logical conclusion:
Math’s more than just a book on a shelf!

Math is a thinking thing – left brain/right brain,
But it goes a little deeper than that.
It’s intellectual, conceptual, valid explanations –
Conclusions that are based on fact.
There may be many parts to analyze.
We always have to ask the question, "Why?"
Math is, math is …
A thinking thing.

Just take algebraic equations,
All those proofs in geometry.
Gray matter is what we have to start with
When we want to solve math’s mysteries!
