The Elevator
A gentleman works on the 10th floor of an office building and
always takes the elevator down to ground level at the end of the day.
Yet every morning he only takes the elevator to the 7th floor and
walks up the stairs to the 10th floor, even when he is in a hurry.
Why?
He is too short to reach the 10th floor button in the elevator.
It must be assumed that the 1st floor button is the lowest button
and that the other floor buttons are numbered vertically upwards.
Somehow, he cannot use a stick to push the 10th floor button.
